Transcendental Idealism: Kant's Critique of Pure Reason argued that the approach to knowledge requires more than simply sensory interaction with the world but must also include understanding the mind's ability to process that information.

He also wrote a reference to the famous poem “O Captain my Captian” saying that God is the figurehead of pure rational intellect but that man himself must steer the ship since he has sensational power that must come from his own mind.

So you can entrust God to guide you and give u pure intellect however you must use your own power of judgement to guide one’s self in reason.
