I really don't expect much from the Yankees this year unless they trade for another ace pitcher since Cole is done for the year
I said that when Cole first got injured
And Red Soxs just got lucky that's all
Even without Cole when push comes to shove we can beat Boston if needed. Detroit on the other hand is definitely going to pose a challenge if we make it that far in the post season without Cole.
Regardless of what people think of me I'm a realist fan and don't truly believe in what's not possible if it's truly not possible. And right now I really don't see the Yankees making the world series as is even with the batting rotation we have.
If we can keep our batting rotation next year or possibly make it better then we'll have a shot then when Cole comes back. I would've said this year with him leading the pitching rotation we acquired but none that we picked up is truly an ace pitcher like Cole. We need that in order to really be considered a contender.
Right now I see us going out in the first round honestly if we hold on to a playoff spot
